Carol Kivler

Professional speaker, author, thought leader, trusted advisor to international business executives, Carol Kivler is also a passionate advocate for mental health issues. A survivor of four bouts of treatment-resistant depression, she battled this devastating and debilitating mental illness with courage and faith to a full and sustained recovery.
Carol is an ardent advocate for consumers struggling with depression and mental illness. Through her four books, mental health presentations and Courageous Recovery, Inc., her 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, Carol works tirelessly to overcome stigma and misrepresentations that still surround those suffering from mental illnesses. As a consumer advocate and mental health speaker, she tells the story of the treatment that saved her life, Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), and shares strategies for maintaining sustained recovery and mental wellness. Kathy B. Dempsey, award winning author, keynote speaker and change expert is President of Keep Shedding! Inc. She ignites people and organizations with the skills and motivation to lead and manage change. Kathy has worked for many years in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. She wrote her graduate thesis on grief and loss. As the Administrator of Behavioral Health Services for Memorial Health Care System, she was responsible for bringing back ECT to the TN area after many years.
Kathy’s most popular book, Shed or You’re Dead®: 31 Unconventional Strategies for Growth and Change is the recipient of a Writer’s Digest International Book Award. She has achieved the highest earned speaker’s designation in the world, the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP). Karen Meltzer

Karen has over 25 years of experience as a marketing manager for the educational, travel and professional speaker industries. For the past 10 years, she has worked with presenters in the mental health field. She provides speaker management services including arranging Grand Rounds presentations at hospitals, medical and nursing schools and securing keynote and workshop programs for varied mental health related organizations, non-profit groups, state and national conferences and professional association events.
Her skills include all facets of marketing and publicity, managing website content, arranging television and radio interviews, book promotion, contract negotiations and public relations. Karen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Queens College with a B.A. in Psychology.

Dr. Joel Schwartz

Dr. Joel Schwartz graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Franklin and Marshall College. He went on to receive his medical degree from Hahnemann University Hospital, and his psychiatric training at the Institute of Living, and Hahnemann University. He is the recipient of the Herman Belmont Award for Excellence in Teaching Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, has been one of the “Top Docs”of Philadelphia Magazine several times, and has received the United States Air Force Commendation Medal during his tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Schwartz is Chairman Emeritus of the Department of Psychiatry at Abington Health. He is a board certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist as well as a certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychoanalyst. Prior to this, Dr. Schwartz has been an Associate Director and Head of Child and Adolescent Services at Northwestern Institute, a Residency training director for a Child and Adolescent Fellowship, a teacher and a supervisor for psychiatric residents and psychoanalytic candidates. He is the author of eight books for young adolescents, and recently self-published 2 books, one on improving children’s sense of humor and one on prostate cancer.

Doreen Miri

Doreen Miri brings a different approach to counseling and coaching. Calling upon her 25 years of experience as a training and development executive combined with her advanced degree in counseling, Doreen provides a unique perspective. Doreen’s specialty is a solution-based, action-oriented model. She counsels adults who are facing significant life transitions, including career/job, relationship/marriage, health/wellness, or specific goal-seeking issues.
Doreen partners with her clients to address the impediments to change that may be troubling them. By crafting a strategy to achieve personal and professional goals, including identifying the psychological barriers to achieving them, Doreen helps turn these goals into reality. Doreen is available for psychotherapy, coaching and small business consulting services.
Doreen graduated from Rider University with a degree in Sociology and holds a Masters Degree in Community Counseling and Human Service from The College of New Jersey. She is a National Board Certified Counselor, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey.

Suzanne Camlin

Suzanne Camlin has over 20 years of increasing responsibilities managing businesses committed to providing superior customer service. Self-motivated, highly organized and trustworthy, she has demonstrated accomplishment in leadership and community service.
Her positions in public service include twice elected Council member of Hightstown, NJ, serving one year as Police Commissioner and Council President. She was appointed by the State of New Jersey to serve as a Commissioner for the Hightstown Housing Authority, serving 10 years. Suzanne served as an elected Board member of the Wyckoff’s Mill Condo Association for 16 years and has been an elected Board member of the Traditions at Federal Point Condo Association since 2005. She also served as an elected Vestry member of St. David’s Church, Cranbury, for 6 years. Suzanne is currently employed by Wegmans Food Markets.

Denise received an M.A. in Human Resource Education with honors from Fordham University and holds a B.B.A. in Management from Hofstra University.
